چکیده
We study the use of two dynamic thick holograms to realize isotropic two-dimensional (2D) differentiation under Bragg diffraction. Acousto-optic modulators (AOMs) are used as volume holograms. Using a single hologram, we can accomplish first-order derivative operation, corresponding selective edge extraction an image. Since AOM is 1D spatial light modulator, filtering image only occurs along direction sound propagation. To achieve 2D processing, AOMs within Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI). By aligning one x-direction on upper arm and another y-direction lower arm, sum first-derivative operations, leading extraction. have performed both computer simulations optical experiments verify proposed idea. Elasto-Thermodiffusive Response in a Two-Dimensional Transversely Isotropic Medium
The present article investigates the elasto-thermodiffusive interactions in a transversely isotropic elastic medium in the context of thermoelasticity with one relaxation time parameter and two relation time parameters. The resulting non-dimensional coupled equations are applied to a specific problem of a half-space in which the surface is free of tractions and is subjected to time-dependent th...
متن کاملMultifunctional and compact spectrometers based on cylindrical beam volume holograms.
We propose a new class of slitless spectrometers using cylindrical beam volume holograms. These holograms disperse an input beam in one direction in an output plane while they do not affect the beam in the perpendicular direction. We show that the spectral mapping of the input beam can be obtained in one direction and the beam can be independently modified in the perpendicular direction. Using ...

We present a compact method to provide independent weighted interconnections between every pixel in a two-dimensional input array and every pixel in a two-dimensional output array. The two input dimensions and two output dimensions are connected by a four-dimensional weight matrix consisting of wavelength-multiplexed volume holograms that use cryogenic spectral hole burning in a single holograp...
متن کاملControl of volume holograms
Received May 9, 1991; revised manuscript received February 14, 1992; accepted February 25, 1992 The mismatch in the number of degrees of freedom supported by volume holograms and the boundary fields that control them limits the dynamic range of recorded holograms. For holograms controlled by using fractal sampling grids, the maximum dynamic range falls inversely with the minimum number of expos...
